Show Us Some Shirt!
When the cold wet winds of late October starts to blow, the time has once again come to review your closet's knitwear supply. A lambswool or Shetland vee-neck jumper makes a perfect companion to your favourite autumnal tweed jacket. Just make sure the vee-neck is deep enough to show some shirt!
Wearing a jumper enables your tweed jacket to perform as outerwear, as originally intended. If the indoors gets a little too warm, just take of your jacket and your vee-neck will keep you looking casually smart.
However, I would not recommend one of those shallow cut vee-necks. If your jacket is a high 3 buttoned one, you might get away with a little less depth, but a 2-buttoned jacket needs a deeper vee-neck jumper not to look out of proportion. The very shallow vee-neck, popular a few years ago, looks best with a high four buttoned jacket. But then again, such a jacket may look it's best left deep inside your closet?
