Knitted in Hawick Scotland by William Lockie, these two colour merino wool Fair Isle jumper are quite exceptional. Made from the finest 2-ply merino yarns in a trim shape with 2x2 rib on collar, hem and cuffs. Named after a tiny island in the north of Scotland, that forms part of the Shetland Islands Fair Isle knitting gained a considerable popularity when the Prince of Wales wore Fair Isle tank tops in public in 1921. These are made with only two colours in the total pattern, giving a winter sport look easy to combine with any sports jacketA sports jacket, commonly of tougher material than a suit jacket, is meant to be worn with trousers of another colour (and pattern). .

100 % Pure New Merino wool. Fair Isle pattern. Fully fashioned knit. Trim fit crew-neck jumper. Set in sleeves. Entirely made in Hawick, Scotland. Hand wash only.

These jumpers are in a trim fit, however not overly tight. Order your true size to get 2 inch (5 cm) overmeasure, or size up or down to suit your taste.
