Private White V.C. Heavy Linen Field Jacket Navy
After a chance find of a rare 1960s Pattern British Army Combat Jacket, Creative Director Nick Ashley designed the Private White V.C. Linen Field Jacket. Handcrafted in their ManchesterCorduroy is a textile composed of twisted fibers that, when woven, lie parallel (similar to twill) to one another to form the cloth's distinct pattern, a "cord." Modern corduroy is most commonly composed of tufted cords, sometimes exhibiting a channel (bare to the base fabric) between the tufts. Corduroy is, in essence, a ridged form of velvet. In Sweden known as "Manchester" factory, here in classic charcoal colour.
A concealed drawstring waist, dual zip, inner and outer pockets and reinforced elbow detailing evoke classic military uniforms, while a hidden placket zip, stylised pleat pockets and military-grade, copper hardware give the jacket a contemporary finish.
