Rayner & Sturges

Rayner & Sturges are one of the few remaining shirtmakers in England and have been making shirts and collars in Kent since 1913. Silk neckwear are hand made in the same factory.

All shirts are made to high standards and according to Jermyn Street traditions. Single needle stitching only, no fused linings, four piece yokes, reinforced gussets, Australian MoP buttons, 18 stitch per inch, removable collar bones and fully matched patterned shirts. Each collar size has its own body size for a perfect fit.

For Tweed Country Sports a special fit has been developed - slim but not too tight. The shirts are closely fitted around the shoulders, arms and chest, but has fairly straight shape. Knife pleats beneath the yoke adds a little drape and comfort to the back of the shirt. Sleeve length are generous to fit Scandinavian customers.

Ties are wool lined and hand slipped with a single silk thread. Bow ties are self tie with adjustable neck length. Pocket squares have hand rolled edges. Only the finest English wowen and printed silks are used.
